| Thanks to my duties to West Chester Liberty Weekly, it’s helped me get out of my comfort zone in trying new things. Believe me, if I had it my way, I’d probably eat at Taste of Belgium every meal of the day and be completely satisfied with my fried chicken and waffles. So, to not be a stick in the mud and try other things and help promote the great businesses in our community, I need to get out more! And I tend to be a zero to 60 guy so if I’m going to try something new, I’m not going to head over to Applebees to try their latest version of the McRib.
Last week, I visited a restaurant three doors down from my office located at West Chester Towne Centre called Thai Koon. I don’t have a whole lot of experience with Thai food but from what I’ve had, I’ve enjoyed the cuisine.
Side note, for you tough guys who all think that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza, which it does, I also found out it belongs in Thai food. Number C4 on the menu and number one in your hearts, or belly! The yellow curry! The yellow curry comes with potato cubes, pineapple chunks, onions, and red and green peppers. Take out the onions, add the chicken and we’re in business. Anyone who knows me knows that if there’s an onion in there, I won’t eat it. Try and sneak an onion into a dish thinking I’ll eat it and I’ll sniff it out and throw it on the floor for Spot. Ask Emily, She’s tried for years and finally gave up.
The spring rolls are off the charts, the pad thai is to die for, and their coffee isn’t half bad either. I was pleasantly surprised.
If you’re a stick in the mud like myself or someone who likes to try new things, try this place. The service is great, the food is amazing, and it’s three doors down from the office with the best real estate agents in Cincinnati. My grade, 9.3.
