I keep seeing this meme that says, quit paying for the person behind you in the Starbucks line when you can pay off a student’s lunch debt. Tell me you’re cancel culture without telling me your cancel culture. This is too funny. That deed you just did is not good enough! Not to generalize too much, but those who posted that, could you have had lunch at home with Ramen Noodles and not at Cooper’s Hawk and taken that money you saved and paid off that student’s debt? Back off, Karen’s. Let the world do good!
I like when people do good deeds. Are they self-serving? Sometimes but we still like to see other people doing other things for others. It makes this world a better place.
I digress. Emily and I did not make it to any restaurants last week because our sweet June Bug brought home pink eye and some other slight cough that has kept us nice and nestled in our home on Yamassee Drive. This pink eye that is going around is something else. I’ve had it before, and I think it was for three days at the most! Not this guy.
But was able to pick up the phone and call Marco’s Pizza. I know there are many options, and Emily would argue with me on this one, but I think it’s the best delivery pizza we’ve got. I’m also a little biased as we did have Marco’s stores near us in Perrysburg, where I grew up. It was a Friday night special in the Weghorst household.
I mean, it’s nothing crazy, but it’s consistently a solid pie. My favorite, a pizza that everyone knocks till they try a slice, is chicken, jalapenos, and yes, pineapple. And it’s just the right amount of thickness, and they season the crust a little bit just to give it that extra flavor.
If you find yourself with old pinky or under the weather like most of us right now and need something quick and easy and right to your door, I’d recommend Marco’s Pizza. If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a shot and dial up your pie how you like it.
My grade, 8.2.
