West Chester Liberty Weekly – Bubbakoo’s Burritos

I was starting to believe all burrito spots were the same. Get in line, pick your toppings, and enjoy your meal—the Subway model. And don’t get me started on Subway. Isn’t their slogan, eat fresh? Have you seen the meat and veggies they serve up? Pretty sure heartbeat comes pre-sliced to the s, tore, and why is the lettuce constantly changing colors? There’s not a damn thing fresh about that place.

I digress. I used to be a big Chipotle guy and any other place that served burritos, but they all felt the same after a while. But a buddy had mentioned a place called Bubbakoo’s and encouraged me to give it a shot. Alright, the name sounds cool; let’s give it a try. We’ve got good options here, folks. You can choose from a burrito, quesadilla, tacos, taco salad, or what looked amazing but needed more guts or calories in the day or week to throw down my gullet, a chiwawa. I had never heard of a chiwawa, at least from a food consumption side. It’s a cheesy rice ball with fried panko breadcrumbs filled with whatever toppings you want. Next: next time. I’ll be sure to have a light breakfast that morning.

I ended up going with a quesadilla with fresh japs and a whole lot of sweet chili sauce. And the lettuce they threw on there weighed about 4 pounds, so I o only ate half, but it was good. Plus, I needed to make room for a boardwalk cookie—a fan—a label for a deep-fried oreo. But so good, it was so good.

Anyways, if you were like me and looking for something new in the burrito sections, I’d try this chain and a few others around Cincinnati, but this one is in Liberty Township, right next to the Kroger off Yankee.

My grade, 8.9. The only downfall is the chips could be a little better.

Have a great weekend!

Respectfully,
